The Jordan Family History "Getting Back to Our Roots," is a special time for our family to come together in love, unity, and remembrance. Our family roots trace back to Macon, Mississippi, where the foundation of our legacy was built through strength, faith, and perseverance. From those humble beginnings, generations of the Jordan family have grown and spread to different places, while still holding on to the values that shaped us.
We proudly honor our beloved grandparents, James (Jim) Jordan and Susie Jordan, whose love, guidance, and dedication helped establish the strong foundation of our family. Their commitment to faith, family, and togetherness set the tone for the generations that followed and continues to inspire us today.
James (Jim) Jordan and Susie Jordan raised six children: Jesse Jordan Sr., Annie Pearl Allgood, Lillie Bell Bailey, Jennie Lou Risper, Mattie Bell Griggs and James Jordan. Through their children, the Jordan family legacy continued to grow, creating generations filled with love, faith, and resilience.
We also honor the cherished elders who paved the way before us —Janie Coleman, Edna Mason, and Lillie Ruth Bailey and Jesse Jordan Jr Their wisdom, love, and sacrifices helped guide our family and created a lasting legacy that lives on through each generation.
Because of them, we stand on a foundation of faith, strength, and unity.
As a family, our traditions have always centered around church, Sunday dinners, and simply spending quality time together. Whether gathering for worship, sharing meals around the table, or just spending time laughing and connecting, these traditions have kept our family close and grounded throughout the years.
This reunion is more than just a gathering; it is a celebration of our history, our heritage, and our future. "Getting Back to Our Roots" reminds us of where we come from and the importance of staying united as a family.
